Producer Frank Marshall revealed the news on Twitter earlier this week.
"LAST AIRBENDER release date moves up to July 1st," he wrote.
The movie was originally scheduled for a Friday, July 2 release.
Marshall also tweeted that the picture would be rated PG.
The Last Airbender stars Dev Patel, Jackson Rathbone, Nicola Pelts, Noah Ringer and Cliff Curtis.
