Fanboys screenwriter Ernie Cline is reportedly closing a book deal for his debut young adult sci-fi novel.
The book, called Ready Player One, is also being positioned for a movie adaptation, reports Deadline.
Cline apparently stands to make six figures from the deal.
The novel follows a teenage boy named Wade Watts who plugs in to a virtual world called Oasis to escape his bleak environment.
Wade goes on an elaborate treasure hunt in the virtual world and competes against a ruthless batch of foes.
