According to Heat Vision, the duo's Imagine Entertainment will team up with Radical Pictures to develop a film based on the dark fairy tale.
Released by Radical's publishing arm, the comic features twisted incarnations of classic fable characters such as Red Riding Hood, Jack the Giant Killer and Hansel and Gretel.
The story begins with the discovery of Pinocchio's corpse. Red Riding Hood and Jack team up to track down the killer, only to uncover a plot to wipe out the creatures of folklore. Goldilocks makes an appearance as a mercenary and Hansel and Gretel as psychic exterminators.
Written by Nick Percival, the graphic novel will be available this month. A potential release window for the movie adaptation is yet to be established.
