Ellen Page is joining X-Men 3 as Kitty Pryde, according to IGN Filmforce.
It was previously thought that Maggie Grace (Lost) would play the mutant, but auditions were opened up for the role at the beginning of the month.
Brett Ratner is helming the movie, featuring Hugh Jackman (Wolverine), Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier), Ian McKellen (Magneto), Famke Jannsen (Jean Grey/Phoenix), Kelsey Grammer (Hank McCoy/Beast) and Vinnie Jones (Cain Marko/Juggernaut).
The movie will begin filming in Vancouver next week with a view to a May 26, 2006 release.
