Sean Connery has stated that it is highly unlikely that he will return to acting because of the 'idiots' in the industry.
In an interview in New Zealand the former James Bond explained: "I'm fed up with the idiots - the ever-widening gap between people who know how to make movies and the people who green-light the movies.
"I don't say they're all idiots, I am just saying there's a lot of them that are very good at being idiots."
He also revealed that he turned down the role of Gandalf in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy because he could never get a grasp of the plot. "I never understood it. I read the book, I read the script. I saw the movie. I still don't understand it."
