According to The Hollywood Reporter, the trio are "loosely attached" to the filmmaker's next venture. Plot details are being kept under wraps, with Shyamalan only allowing Hollywood executives to read his script in the presence of one of his assistants.
Willis previously teamed up with Shyamalan on The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, while Paltrow and Cooper have yet to work with the director.
Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, an adaptation of the Nickelodeon cartoon series, opens on July 1 in the US and August 13 in the UK.
