Speaking to DS on the set of the supernatural movie, the actress said that more make-up has had to be imported to create a pale, ghostly look for the cast.
"We've used up the whole stock in the UK and they've had to fly some in because we're running low," she explained. "Basically it's a white foundation but obviously nobody wants to be this colour. We used all of it! There's none left in the UK at the moment which is really cool."
Regarding her character in the movie, the Angus, Thongs & Perfect Snogging star added: "I play Winifred who's one of the [Craggyford] family, I'm the eldest daughter. However you die you stay in the afterlife, I was drowned so I'm soaking wet all the time. That's my quirk."
Groome, Kevin McKidd, Emma Fielding and newcomer Toby Hall star in The Great Ghost Rescue, which is based on the best-selling novel by Eva Ibbotson.
