Cronenberg attached to 'Across the Table'

According to Pajiba, the film would mark Cronenberg's first sci-fi picture since 1999's eXistenZ.
Lethem's book follows a professor who is in love with a scientist that is obsessed with a selective black hole.
The movie will apparently be in the vein of Michel Gondry's Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
