Stewart's 'Rileys' to open in October

Samuel Goldwyn Films has picked up distribution rights to Kristen Stewart indie film Welcome to the Rileys for Sony.

According to IndieWIRE, the studio will open the picture in US art house cinemas in October with the hope to expand further.

Twilight star Stewart plays a prostitute in the film, which also features Sopranos actor James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo as a married couple who befriend her.

“We are thrilled to be releasing this terrific film with Sony that features first-rate performances by James Gandolfini, Kristen Stewart and Melissa Leo," said Samuel Goldwyn Films president Meyer Griffin.

A specific release date has not been reported.
