Fox developing Bradbury's 'Martian'

Fox is developing a feature film based on Ray Bradbury's sci-fi short story collection The Martian Chronicles.
John Davis, producer of previous sci-fi adaptation I, Robot starring Will Smith, has optioned the rights to the story, reports the Los Angeles Times.
Bradbury's tale follows humans who clash with the natives of Mars while trying to colonise the planet after Earth is ruined.
Rock Hudson and Bernadette Peters starred in a 1980 TV adaptation of the short story collection.
Bradbury's original tale takes place in the years 2000 and 2005.
