Filming will soon begin in Indonesia for a fictional flick depicting the aftermath of the devastating tsunamis of last Christmas.
Hereafter will follow an American who walks barefoot for 70 miles in search of his missing wife and children.
"This is a story of salvation, a tale of a man who realises exactly what he's lost during his search to find it," writer-director Michael Patwin told Variety.
Producers intend to donate a "significant portion" of the film's takings to disaster relief efforts.
