Adrien Brody 'smoked fake weed for film'

Director John Stalberg has revealed that Adrien Brody smoked "fake weed" while filming his upcoming film High School.

Stalberg told WENN that he found the substance in a marijuana magazine and gave it to Brody, who plays a stoner in the movie.

"He was smoking this fake weed you can buy from High Times magazine called Fake Budz," he said.

"It looks and burns like weed and it's totally organic so if the actors don't smoke cigarettes it's not gonna hurt them. We even used it for props because it comes on a branch."

He added: "Adrien said when he read the script he laughed so hard that he pulled a muscle in his neck!"

High School will be released this fall.
