Meryl Streep to play Margaret Thatcher?

The Julie & Julia actress will reunite with her Mamma Mia! director Phyllida Lloyd for the project, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Jim Broadbent is apparently lined up to play Thatcher's husband, Denis, in the Pathé and BBC Films co-production.
It is believed that the film will take place in the days leading up to the Falklands War in 1982, which ultimately helped Thatcher's Conservative government to win the following year's general election.
