The filming of Bond 23 was put on hold indefinitely in April, but there are now rumours that the movie has been scrapped altogether.
MGM studios, who were co-funding the Daniel Craig film, have suffered from well-documented financial troubles in the past year, and are believed to have axed the £132 million blockbuster.
A source told The Mirror: "Members of the production crew have been told the Bond film has been canned.
“There is a lot of bad feeling as a lot of time, money and hard work has already gone into this.”
Revolutionary Road director Sam Mendes and Frost/Nixon writer Peter Morgan were already attached to the project.
