The actor told DS at Eclipse's UK premiere that he would be keen to star in a movie based on Stephenie Meyers's Twilight companion novella.
"I don't know, I can only hope," he said. "I would kill to be a part of these stories for longer, you never know!"
However, Eclipse director David Slade cast doubt on seeing a big screen adaptation of the book because author Meyers does not watch R-rated movies.
"It's really violent," Slade told journalists at a UK press conference when asked about Bree Tanner. "I remember talking to Stephenie about it and saying I thought it would make a decent movie but it would have to be R-rated because there's so much description of violence. She only watches PG-13 movies, she won't watch R-rated movie, she refuses."
