Christian Bale to star in 'Last Photograph'

Christian Bale has signed up to star in Zack Snyder-produced war drama The Last Photograph, according to Pajiba.

The Warner Bros movie centres on two men who are inspired to journey through war-torn Afghanistan by a photograph. The project was first announced last year with Sergey Bodrov attached to direct, however it is now thought that Niels Arden Oplev (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) will helm the picture.

Watchmen director Snyder hatched the idea for Photograph and handed it over to his 300 collaborator Kurt Johnstad to pen the script.

Bale can next be seen opposite Mark Wahlberg in boxing biopic The Fighter before starring in a third Batman feature and Terrence Malick's untitled romantic drama with Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams and Olga Kurylenko.
