Gina Gershon has joined the cast of upcoming indie drama Five Minarets in New York.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress will co-star with Danny Glover and Robert Patrick in the film, directed by Turkish writer-director Mahsun Kirmizigul.
The project marks Kirmizigul's first English-language picture.
Gershon will play the wife of a Turkish scholar who is wrongfully arrested.
The actress is known for her roles in the films Bound and Showgirls and for recurring stints on TV shows Rescue Me and Ugly Betty.
