Zac Efron has reportedly said that he is open to "trying anything" in relation to his career.

The 22-year-old shot to fame in the High School Musical franchise and has since starred in movies including 17 Again and Me And Orson Welles.

When asked by Teen Vogue about his future plans, he said: "I don't want to jinx it, you know? My checklist is infinite. There's nothing I wouldn't try."

The actor can next be seen in Charlie St. Cloud, an adaptation of the book by Ben Sherwood about a man who survives an accident and begins to see the world in a different light.

"It's much more emotional and a little bit older," he added. "It was what drew me to this particular film."

Efron recently revealed that he would love to land a stint on Broadway but admitted that finding the time was a "challenge".
