Shawn Levy is in talks with Sony to direct 21, reports Variety.
Formerly entitled Breaking Vegas, the movie is based on Ben Mezrich's nonfiction book 'Bringing Down The House' which tells the story of six MIT students who were trained to excel at card counting and went on to make millions at Las Vegas casinos.
Peter Steinfeld wrote the adaptation which was originally going to be directed by Brett Ratner, although he is now otherwise occupied on X-Men 3.
Levy was repsonsible for the Pink Panther remake starring Steve Martin.
