Cate Blanchett has suggested that reports about a sequel to Elizabeth may be inaccurate.
Yesterday it was reported that the actress would reprise her regal role for The Golden Age alongside Clive Owen and Geoffrey Rush, with filming to start in April.
However, she told Australian newspaper Herald Sun yesterday: "I'm really good friends with Shekhar Kapur (the director) and he's forever saying he's going to do this movie or that movie and I think there was talk about it. There's so much there if it were to happen, but my initial instinct is, why (make it)?"
