Michelle Yeoh has joined the cast of Danny Boyle's upcoming project Sunshine.
The picture will be a science-fiction film scripted by Alex Garland.
Yeoh told Prestige Hong Kong magazine: "They have an amazing team ... I've wanted to work with these people for a long while."
Known for action pictures such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Tomorrow Never Dies, she also explained that filming Memoirs of a Geisha recently made her consider the type of roles she would take in the future. "Doing a movie like Memoirs was good in the sense that it tickled me into thinking, 'Well, maybe I have to be a little more feminine.'"
"But after two hours of that, I said, 'Fine, OK, I did that.'"
