Kevin Bacon in talks for 'X-Men' part

Kevin Bacon is reportedly in talks to play the villain in the upcoming X-Men: First Class.

According to Deadline, studio Twentieth Century Fox has put out an offer to the Footloose star.

If he accepts, Bacon could join a cast that includes James McAvoy (Xavier), Michael Fassbender (Magneto), Alice Eve (Emma Frost), Caleb Landry Jones (Banshee), Lucas Till (Havoc) and Nicholas Hoult (Beast).

Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn is helming the superhero prequel, which is scheduled to open in June 2011 in US cinemas.
