'Crash' wins Grand Prize at Deauville
Paul Haggis' Crash took the top accolade at the Deauville Film Festival last night.

The film, which tells the story of a how a car crash intertwines the lives of a group of Los Angeles residents, was written and directed by Haggis and stars Don Cheadle, Sandra Bullock, Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, Thandie Newton and Matt Dillon.

Other winners included:
  • Jury Prize - On The Outs (Lori Silverbrush and Michael Stolnik) and Keane (Lodge Kerrigan)

  • Canal Prize for Documentary - Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room (Alex Gibney)
  • Chevignon Screenplay Award - Transamerica (Duncan Tucker)
