Mario Van Peebles has signed on to direct mystery thriller Yellow Wood, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Van Peebles will also act in the movie which will tell the story of a woman who is still haunted by the murder of her sister. Determined to put the matter to rest, she approaches an unconventional researcher with whom she manages to relive and alter her past by travelling into her dreamscape. However, all does not go according to plan.
Stephen J. Cannell is producing the picture for Spyglass Entertainment. Production should be underway by the end of the year.
