Steve Buscemi, Stanley Tucci and Bob Balaban have been commissioned by Netherland-based Column Productions and New York's Ironworks Productions to remake three of Theo van Gogh's films.
Variety reports that the remakes of the Dutch director's films will be shot consecutively in New York from next year. The films in question are O6, Blind Date and Interview.
The director was shot and stabbed last year in Amsterdam. His killer Mohammad Bouyeri was motivated by anger over Submission, a film criticising the role of women in Islam.
