Producers will make their decision in the near future, with the final round of actor tests taking place this week.
Current forerunners in the race to become 007 are Daniel Craig, Henry Cavill, Sam Worthington and Goran Visnjic. Although big names such as Clive Owen have been rumoured to be taking the part, these possibilities have been overruled by the Broccolis' unwillingness to pay too much for their lead.
