Merkerson signs up to 'Black Snake Moan'

S. Epatha Merkerson has joined Craig Brewer-helmed picture Black Snake Moan for Paramount Classics, according to Variety.
The actress, who won an Emmy for her performance in Lackawanna Blues, joins Christina Ricci and Justin Timberlake in the cast.
The movie, produced by John Singleton and Stephanie Allain, will focus on the story of a blues guitarist (Samuel L. Jackson) who is abandoned by his wife, and then sets out to save the soul of a nymphomaniac (Christina Ricci).
Release is slated for next year.
