The movie is based on Beth Harbison's best-selling novel about four Chicago women from different ethnic backgrounds who share a love of shoes and have the same size feet. The women eventually form a support group and become "sole sisters".
Berry will play an agoraphobic who shops online to sate her hunger for footwear. Shoe Addicts is Berry's first comedy role since 1998's Bulworth.
British filmmaker Paul Weiland (Made Of Honour) is directing from a script by Kristen Buckley and Brian Regan.
