Director Noyce: 'Salt will have sequel'

Salt will most likely be made into a sequel in "a couple of years", according to the film's director Phillip Noyce.

The fillmmaker has praised Angelina Jolie's performance in the spy thriller and has claimed that audiences will want a second instalment once they see the movie.

Noyce told Bang Showbiz: "Hopefully within a couple of years, we'll have another one. Angelina's so great in this part. When audiences see the movie they're going to feel like it's only just the beginning."

Jolie recently claimed that chasing after her children at home built her stamina for the running sequences in her new action movie.

Salt is currently playing in the US and arrives in UK cinemas on August 20.
