The 58-year-old has revealed that after his initial meeting with Cooper, he found his talent as an actor "inspiring", reports Contactmusic.
He said: "We did a scene in the van which was my first time with Bradley. He starts this improvisation, prompted by the director, and I'm there going, 'What the hell is this?' So it was terrifying for the first few days, and then it got to be inspiring actually."
Neeson recently said that he finds it "touching" that he still receives messages of support about his late wife Natasha Richardson.
The A-Team, which opened in the US last month to mixed reviews, is released in the UK on July 30.
