Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher are to star in romantic comedy The Pleasure of Your Company, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Biggs will play a pessimist who is persuaded into proposing to his waitress, played by Fisher, for the sake of a dare. The film will mark the directorial debut of Michael Ian Black (NBC's Ed).
Financed by GreeneStreet Films, the indie picture will begin filming next month in the New York area.
John Penotti, president of GreeneStreet, is quoted as saying: "You sometimes have problems with first-time feature directors, but I feel very confident with Michael."
Comparing the movie to John Hughes comedies he added: "Those kind of films can be silly at times, but this one has a big heart."
