Daniel Craig emerged as the clear favourite to become the next James Bond today.
The Daily Mail reported that an announcement confirming the 37-year-old as Pierce Brosnan's successor will follow later this week.
Craig, currently in the news over an alleged fling with Sienna Miller, would be the sixth Bond and the first blond in the role.
A spokeswoman insisted that no decision had yet been made, adding that casting for Bond was still taking place.
