John Hodge is writing a screenplay based on Susan Cooper's 'The Dark is Rising' books.
Cooper's tales follow the fortunes of Will Stanton, an eleven-year-old boy who discovers that he is an 'Old One', a warrior who must battle forces of darkness. Will must locate and assemble the pieces of one of the 'Things of Power' before The Dark can stop him.
Marc Platt (Legally Blonde) is producing for Walden Media.
