The movie, directed by Ivan Reitman and co-starring Natalie Portman, was originally titled Friends With Benefits, but had to scrap that name because another film with the same title was already in production.
Speaking to Moviehole, Kutcher explained: "I just finished a film called The F**k Buddies that may not ultimately be called F**k Buddies."
He added: "I don't know why - I think people would love to go see a movie called The F**k Buddies."
The movie centres on a man and woman who struggle to keep their romantic relationship purely physical.
Kutcher continued: "I think if I saw a poster and it said The F**k Buddies, I'd be like, 'I'm in, I'm going to see it'. I think it's going to be a really, really funny movie. I can't think about it without laughing. That should be the title. I'm shooting for that."
