Smith: 'Melissa George terrific in Triangle'

Triangle director Christopher Smith has praised his film's star Melissa George for her 'Best Actress' nomination at the Digital Spy Movie Awards.

The British filmmaker, whose thriller is also in the running for the 'Hidden Gem' prize at the DSMAs, said that he is "thrilled" to have recognition in two categories.

He commented: "I'm glad you think Triangle is a hidden gem. It's a movie that took a great deal of time and effort to bring to the screen and it's a film I'm very proud of. I also think Mellissa is terrific in a role that is both mentally and physically challenging.

"Hopefully with these nominations the film will reach the wider audience that it deserves. Thank you very much indeed."
