Noel Clarke has expressed his anger at the decision to close down the UK Film Council.
Clarke told Digital Spy that he is "not happy" about the plans, announced on Monday by Department of Culture, Media and Sport secretary Jeremy Hunt, to axe the funding body that supports the British film industry.
"I think it's a very short-sighted, rash decision by a man who hasn't looked at his DVD collection and seen how many films in his collection have been made by the Film Council," he said.
Clarke wrote, directed and starred in Brit movies Adulthood and 4.3.2.1.
