Chiwetel Ejiofor has signed up to The Children of Men and Tonight at Noon, Variety has revealed.
Directed by Alfonso Cuaron (Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban), The Children of Men is set in the near future in a time when humans have lost the ability to procreate. When the youngest person on Earth (an 18-year-old) dies, Clive Owen must protect the last remaining pregnant female from harm. Julianne Moore also stars, whilst Ejiofor will play the leader of a radical political faction.
Meanwhile, he will play two roles in Tonight at Noon, in which a group of New Yorkers have life-defining random encounters. Connie Nielsen, Lauren Ambrose and Rutger Hauer star.
