Harry Potter's flying car stolen
Published Friday, Oct 28 2005, 12:28 BST | By Miriam Zendle
Police have revealed that the Ford Anglia used in the Harry Potter films as the Weasley's flying car has been stolen from South West Film Studios in Cornwall.
The vehicle, which cannot be driven, was visible from the road. Police are not yet sure whether the theft was due to it being "a classic car" or whether "a Harry Potter freak" is to blame.
The car was only at the studios for an exhibition, as the studios themselves are in receivership. A police spokesman said the car was stolen between 1730 BST on 26th October and 1615 BST on 27th October. He called the car "very well known," and noted that the car was "towed or lifted from the scene."
