Steve Kloves, who has written the screenplays for all the Harry Potter films except Order of the Phoexix, is to return for Half-Blood Prince.
Kloves, an experienced writer, has received high praise for his work on the Potter films thusfar, including from Potter author JK Rowling.
"He read the sixth book and he couldn't stay away,??? said David Heyman, who produces the films.
"One of the great experiences for me, one of the great joys of this entire series has been working with Steve Kloves," added Heyman. "I think he's one of the best writers writing."
