New Line Cinema have hired Charles Shyer to direct comedy Father Knows Less, reports Variety.
The movie will star Dustin Hoffman as a music mogul who is forced to deal with everyday family matters when he is left by his wife. He then seeks help from the children from his first marriage whom he neglected whilst he was concentrating on his career.
Shyer (Alfie; Father of the Bride) will work with Larry Spencer on a rewrite of the orginal script by John August and Aline Brosh McKenna.
