Ex-ER star George Clooney is in London's West End today to promote his new film Good Night and Good Luck.
Clooney's critically acclaimed film portrays the epic 1950s battle between TV journalist Edward R. Murrow and Senator Joseph McCarthy and the Permanent Sub-committee on Investigations. Murrow defied pressures from CBS and the network's sponsors to bring the truth to the American public about McCarthy's Communist witch-hunts.
Clooney directs the film and co-wrote the screenplay with Grant Heslov. He also appears in the film as Fred Friendly.
