Brosnan in 'After the Sunset'
Variety reports that the former Bond actor was enthusiastic to take the role for the sake of a change in direction after his involvement with the franchise.
Directed by Mike Barker and written by William Morrissey, the story centres on a previously happy family when their daughter is abducted. Over the following days, inconsiderate kidnapper Brosnan sets about dismantling the family's lives.
More cast announcements are expected soon, ready for production to begin in February.
