50 Cent 'forgets Joel Schumacher's name'

50 Cent has been reported to have forgotten the name of director Joel Schumacher when asked about past filmmakers that he has worked with.

The rapper-turned-actor, who stars in Schumacher's drama Twelve with Chase Crawford, could not remember the name of the helmer during a recent red carpet event.

50 Cent told the New York Daily News: "I've always surrounded myself with great directors like Jim Sheridan, Irwin Winkler, Jon Avnet... Why can't I think of their names?

"This is the kind of stuff that'll get you kicked out of the film business - when you don't remember everybody's name. They're going to come out and say, 'You take your ass back to rapping, 50!'"

Twelve is currently showing in US cinemas. No UK release date has yet been announced.
