Keough, the granddaughter of Elvis Presley, is being lined up to appear in the George Miller film alongside Inception's Tom Hardy in the title role, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Keough is expected to play one of the 'Five Wives' - a group of women that Max Rockatansky is entrusted to protect - with Zoe Kravitz, Teresa Palmer and Adelaide Clemens playing three of the other wives.
Nicholas Hoult and Charlize Theron have also agreed to take part in the film, which begins shooting next year.
Keough, 21, recently finished shooting The Good Doctor with Orlando Bloom, and will also appear in lesbian werewolf romance Jack and Diane, both of which are scheduled for release next year.
