Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard has said that she is proud to be working with esteemed director Woody Allen.

Speaking to Interview Magazine, Cotillard explained that she regards working with Allen on his new film Midnight In Paris to be a career landmark.

"He's a maestro," said Cotillard. "I still can't believe I am going to do a movie with him."

Midnight In Paris follows a couple who are forced to question whether a way of life different from their own can be superior during a trip through the French capital.

The star said that one of the benefits of filming in Paris is that she was able to sleep in her own bed each night after a year away from home.

"I loved being on the road and having the opportunity to travel all over. But I'm happy to be able to be home and asleep in my bed after a day of work."

Midnight In Paris is to be released in US cinemas in 2011.
