Constantin Film and Davis Films are planning a third movie in the Resident Evil franchise, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
Paul W. S. Anderson, director of the first of the movies adapted from the video game series, will return to the helm. Milla Jovovich is also expected to make a return as Alice, again determined to expose the Umbrella Corporation and their virus that threatens the survival of humanity.
Resident Evil: Afterlife is expected to pave the way for a fourth movie in the franchise.
Anderson, who has previously directed adaptations of games including Alien vs. Predator and Mortal Kombat for a generally unimpressed viewing public, is also lining up Castlevania.
