Michael Douglas is 'King of California'

Michael Douglas has agreed to star in comedy The King of California, reports Variety.
The film will focus on a teenage girl whose manic-depressive father (Douglas) refuses to let go of his idea that there is treasure buried in the San Fernando Valley.
Prize-winning novelist Michael Cahill (A Nixon Man) will make his feature directorial debut on the project, whilst Sideways team Alexander Payne and Michael London are producing.
Filming is scheduled to begin in February.
