Laura Linney has signed on to appear in Man of the Year and Breach, according to Variety.
Barry Levinson's Man of the Year stars Robin Williams as the host of a political talkshow who cynically runs for president. However, an unpredictable chain of events lead him to a surprise victory. Linney will play the head of a computer company which holds an investigation into the unusual circumstances.
Based on a true story, Billy Ray-directed Breach focuses on federal agent Eric O'Neill (Ryan Phillippe) who is headhunted to work for notorious agent Robert Hanssen (Chris Cooper) in a new division set up to protect classified FBI intelligence. However, the young agent soon finds that the veteran may not be all he seems. Linney will play an FBI agent in charge of Phillipe's character.
