Diaz out for 'In Her Shoes' premiere

Cameron Diaz and her co-stars have turned out for the UK premier of their new film In Her Shoes.

Diaz plays a vindictive, selfish sister named Maggie in the new drama about family relationships.

She said she could empathise with the character to an extent: "Maggie's issues were really much more intense and convoluted and more dire than mine, but I think it's something we all go through in life - that journey of finding yourself."

Director Curtis Hanson said Diaz was perfect for the role: "Who better than Cameron than to play this character, who has been allowed to cruise by in life because of what she looks like and because of the way men react to her?"

Toni Colette, who plays Maggie’s sensible sister, was also at the premiere.
