George Romero is to adapt Stephen King's From a Buick 8 for Chesapeake Films, according to Variety.
King's 2002 novel focuses on Ned Wilcox, whose policeman father Curt is killed in a car accident. However, as with some other of the author's stories, Trucks and Christine, the car is not as innocent as it seems.
Jonathan Schaech and Richard Chizmar have written the script based on the book.
